Blue Horizon, a spacious modern guest house offers accommodation in a quiet residential area on Onchan Head with spectacular panoramic sea views. Onchan is only a few minutes away from Douglas, the Isle of Man's busy capital, and Blue Horizon is well served with transport links to Douglas and the rest of the Island. The Manx Electric Railway line passes nearby and runs a regular daily service from Douglas to Ramsey via Laxey. The Douglas terminus is also the boarding point for the Horse Trams which travel the 2 mile Douglas Promenade. Convenient private parking is available and nearby amenities include an 18 hole golf course and Onchan Pleasure Park which offers tennis courts, bowling greens, children’s playground facilities, go-karting, a boating pool, miniature golf and crazy golf. |
Blue Horizon Blue Horizon offers a superb base for exploring the Isle of Man and caters for both business and leisure travellers. With over 20 years experience in the hotel industry Mike and Gwen Ward ensure that all their guests receive a warm welcome and feel right at home the moment they step through the door. With an obvious pride in their work, the level of professionalism and service offered to guests is unsurpassed, and this is reflected by the large number of established regulars who return year after year. The tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms are well appointed and offer guests a high degree of comfort throughout their stay. A Spa bath is also available in a separate bathroom. All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, radio and flat screen TV. There is also a trouser press for guests use. For food lovers, a hearty, home cooked breakfast is available - English or vegetarian, and for those counting calories, there is a lighter continental style option. A private guests lounge and dining room with SKY television, including sports channels, provides the perfect environment to relax at the end of a busy day and four course evening meals are available upon request from £15. Rooms are available from 2:00pm on arrival day and should be vacated by 10:30am prior to departure. Bookings can be secured by payment of a £30 deposit, and cheques should be made out to Blue Horizon. Unwind in our garden at the end of the day. |
