Centrally located on Douglas’ historic Loch Promenade, the Ellan Vannin is the last word in welcoming, family-run accommodation. Its centrally heated rooms are tastefully styled and fully equipped for guests’ comfort and convenience with internet access, TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer and shaving point. Cots and extra beds can be provided on request.

We welcome families and offer a discount rate for children. We have a warm and homely lounge area and an equally inviting dining room where you can start the day with a hearty full cooked breakfast, or if you are watching your figure, a light continental style breakfast is also available. Vegetarian guests are catered for with hot and cold breakfast options.

The Ellan Vannin is favourably located, being only five minutes from the ferry terminal, a couple of minutes from the main shops in Douglas and a stone’s throw from the beach – a particularly tempting prospect in summer.

The seafront rooms all provide a panoramic view of the Victorian façade around Douglas Bay, and the hotel directly overlooks the famous Tower of Refuge built on Conister Rock in 1832 to warn the incoming ships of the frequently submerged rocks.
