The Island's current Treasury Minister is the Hon Allan Robert Bell MHK, appointed by the Chief Minister after the General Election in 2001.  The Treasury Minister is the frontman for all the Isle of Man Government's internal and external fiscal policies, responsible for encouraging and supporting a free enterprise open economy and exercising the statutory function to budget for a surplus of income over expenditure by firm control and management of the Government's finances.
