Manx Gas staff could face job losses after its parent company announced it’s looking to save cash across businesses in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey.
Workers at Jersey Gas have been warned redundancies are likely, although it’s not yet known how many jobs are at risk.
John Davies, commercial director of International Energy Group, says it’s likely there’ll be job losses in all three islands.
But he says no definite plans are in place yet.
The reports come in the same week Manx Gas announced a rise of more than eight per cent to natural gas prices.
