In an innovative move, MPES and DED have partnered together to devise and offer the new Manx Accountancy Apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship scheme is aimed at young Manx people (over 16) who want to work within the accountancy function of a business and study towards a professional qualification (ACCA – Foundations in Accountancy).
Employers can benefit from the scheme by securing an additional resource, who will bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm, whilst receiving financial assistance from the DED towards the apprentice’s training costs and wages.
Eddy Kewin of MPES commented “This is a marvellous new initiative backed by the DED, which will help and benefit local young people and employers alike”.
If you are interested in a career in accountancy or just need some additional information, MPES operates a drop in centre at its base on the corner of Duke Street and Victoria Street (above Starbucks coffee shop) or you could call them on 668101 or check out their website www.mpes.co.uk
