Flying & Gliding
What better way to see the various landscapes of the Isle of Man than by taking a flying lesson or just an 'experience' trip in either a powered aircraft or a glider. There are flying schools and clubs based at Ronaldsway airport, the main island airport in the south of the island. Meanwhile at two former RAF airfields in the north of the island non-commercial flying takes place. Microlight flying takes place at Jurby aerodrome. While the home of the active Andreas Gliding Club can be found at Andreas aerodrome and instruction and trial lessons can be arranged.
