Boayl Curragh Plantation

Boayl Curragh was planted in 1988 on the Black Mountain above Tholt-y-Will Plantation and linked to it by a new forest road. It is an exposed plantation of 68 hectares which is growing very well. It consists of Sitka Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Japanese Larch and mixed broadleaves.

Ten hectares of boggy land in the centre of the site has been left unplanted for nature conservation.
