Cross Vein Shelterbelt Plantation

The 2 hectares of the Cross Vein Shelterbelt was established in 1987 adjacent to “Snuff the Wind” mining remains. Due to its poor soil, exposed site and competion with heather, it has been slow to establish itself. Trees are mainly Sitka Spruce and Lodgepole Pine.
