Injaigyn Plantation
Injaigyn, on the outskirts of Onchan is the second small woodland acquired from the Isle of Man Water Authority.
It is made up of 13 hectares of Sitka Spruce and mixed broadleaves. It was clearfelled in 1995 and has now been restocked with conifers.
Injaigyn Plantation takes its name from Injaigyn Farm, which translates to a corner. Onchan District Commissioners have placed a bench opposite the former farm and have named it ‘The Injaigyn Seat’.
