Knockaloe Plantation
Knockaloe is a very exposed plantation on the department’s experimental farm. A non-thinning regime has been practised here with approximately Y2 hectare now restocked with broadleaves.
It was originally planted in 1935 and covers an area of 5 hectares consisting mainly of Sitka Spruce, Lodgepole Pine and Japanese Larch.
