Slieu Curn Plantation

Slieu Curn, (Corrin’s Mountain), at Ballaugh is an isolated plantation. Planted in 1977, it has no provision for forest roads. Approximately 50% of the 77 hectares is stocked, and this is mainly with Sitka Spruce and Japanese Larch. The Spruce on the Northern edge is the most promising, it has potential for the development of broadleaves in the valley.
