Farquhar ends Classic TT festival with strong top six finish

Ryan Farquhar ended his 2014 Classic TT campaign on Tuesday afternoon with a strong top six finish in the three-lap Formula One Classic TT race. Riding Roger Winfield’s Harris Yamaha, the Dungannon rider came through from a first lap ninth to take sixth for another excellent result around the 37 and ¾-mile Mountain Course. With the race having been delayed by more than 24 hours due to inclement weather, conditions were perfect when the race finally got underway at 2.45pm on Tuesday and an opening lap of 117.700mph saw Ryan slot into ninth place. Redmayne clinces thrilling IMGold Newcomers A MGP race

The Isle of Man's Billy Redmayne followed illustrious names including Ian Hutchinson, Robert Dunlop, Michael Dunlop, Carl Fogarty, Phillip McCallen and Ryan Farquhar by winning the Manx Grand Prix Newcomers title.The Manxman clinched a thrilling IMGold Newcomers Race victory by 1.8 seconds after a last lap duel with Malachi Mitchell-Thomas with Ireland's Shane Egan taking the final podium place.
