Standard Bank staff have raised over £3,500 for Children in Need 2009 through a series of challenging and fun activities in and out of the office.

Throughout November, a relay team rowed, climbed and ski-ed the equivalent of the English Channel, Mount Kilimanjaro and a 50km Olympic cross-country marathon, using the equipment at Carrefour Gym.

Then, on Children in Need day itself, staff back at the office organised and took part in a variety of fundraising activities.

 
This year’s ideas included Wii Fit Challenges, ‘Guess the Eyes’ Competitions, ‘Bake-Off’ cake sales and raffles, with many staff sporting fancy dress; a quiz night rounded off the day’s events. 

John Coyle, Managing Director of Standard Bank Isle of Man was better known as one of the '118-118' runners during the proceedings. 

He commented, "We are absolutely delighted with our Staff’s fundraising efforts for 2009.  To raise over £3,500 is a fantastic result and it is truly wonderful to see so many of our staff getting into the spirit of Children in Need."
