Films in Peel's 2010 Programme begins this evening (13th January) at the Centenary Centre with acclaimed film Moon.

The original and intriguing sci-fi film, which is the debut feature by director Duncan Jones (son of David Bowie), kicks off an eclectic new season from Films in Peel.  Titles have been already been confirmed from now until May, with plenty more to follow.

Moon will be followed on 27th January by Coco Avant Chanel, in which Audrey Tautou (star of Amelie and the Da Vinci Code) portrays the legendary fashion designer in her early years.

From the apocalyptic action movie '2012' to Jane Campion's biopic of Keats, Bright Star, Films in Peel have rounded up a hugely varied and enjoyable programme.

In March, to tie in with the Anne Frank [+ You] Exhibition visiting St German's Cathedral, there will be a mini-season of films dealing with Nazi Germany and the Holocaust.

With a couple of exceptions, films will be screened on a Wednesday evening at 7.45pm. Doors open at 7.15pm, when the Atholl Bar will also be open.

All tickets are £4 (concessions £3) and available two weeks before the screening date from Shakti Man (Ramsey), Celtic Gold (Peel), Peter Norris Music (Douglas), Mostly Manx (Douglas) and Thompson Travel (Port Erin) - or on the door, if the film is not already sold out.
