Long-serving Manx advocate John Quinn has today (Friday 17 March 2017) been officially sworn in as Attorney General in the Isle of Man. Mr Quinn took the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Attorney General at Government House. The Warrant of Appointment was given by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen. Mr Quinn was also appointed Queen’s Counsel (QC) on the recommendation of the Lord Chancellor of Great Britain. KPMG presented its annual UK and Manx Budget Tax Update at the Claremont on Wednesday 15 March to over 230 local professionals and business leaders. In keeping with previous sessions, the speakers covered a wide range of topics in addition to the headline Budget commentaries.
