Constable Jenette MARTIN from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating the theft of a distinctive car from a car park on Central Promenade, Douglas. The vehicle is a Renault 5 GT in red which was stolen between Wednesday 24th August and Friday 26th August 2011. The vehicle does not start and therefore would have had to be towed away. The vehicle is rare and it is believed that there are only a few vehicles of this type on the Island. PC MARTIN said “Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have seen the vehicle being towed away, or if anyone has been offered the vehicle for sale.’ If you have any information regarding this matter, then please contact Police immediately on 631212.
