This weeks Windsor trophy round was shot in a slight gusting wind and overcast conditions reasonable for this time of the year and it proved to be great for shooting with a end to end battle for the recurve title a club record and personal bests in abundance.
The recurve trophy turned into what can only be described as incredible this end to end battle between Anne Rutland and Dave Berry seen the lead change hands eight time Berry managed to pull a ten point lead out only for his nocking point to break only eighteen arrows from the end Rutland time her challenge just right to take the trophy on the last arrow from Berry with Jon Rutland picking up the last spot on the podium.
The compound went to Colin Moore putting in a fantastic shoot with another personal best to be added to his great first year shooting this discipline.
The junior Windsor trophy saw Bradley Layton put in a dominant shoot to claim the trophy and the under 14 gents recurve club record with Charlotte Harris picking up the runners up spot.
Due to commonwealth youth games commitments Peter Mumford and Joy Gough had to miss shooting the Windsor and only had time to shoot a national round this was the first time in five years the pair have shot this round Mumford edged Gough to top this round but both still hit personal bests.
