Police are anxious to speak to anyone who may have witnessed damage being caused to a motor vehicle which was parked in the area of Belmont Terrace, Douglas during the evening of Saturday 3rd September. The damage is believed to have occurred between 4pm on 3rd September 2011 and 8am on 4th September 2011,to a silver BMW motor car which was scratched along its passenger side front wing by means of a sharp implement. Police also suspect that other vehicles may have been targeted in the area and would urge owners, who parked in the vicinity on the evening in question, to check their vehicles for any damage. If anyone has any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Police Constable Andrew Lee at Lord Street Police Station on 631212. Constable LEE stated “This is a pointless act of vandalism which has caused a substantial cost to the owner for the repair of his vehicle and I would hope anyone with information would come forward.” ENDS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peel Police are investigating damage that took place to shelf in the public toilet block of Peel Campsite during the early hours of Friday 2nd September. During this incident persons placed toilet paper into the hand basins and lit the same causing a shelf above to become charred. It is believed that the damage in question took place between 2.30am and 3.00am on Friday 2nd September after 3 people were witnessed running away from the area at this time. Due to their size and build, it is believed that the people were in their early teens. Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may be able to assist them with their enquires. Anyone who may have information that can assist the Police enquires are asked to contact Peel Police Station on 631551. ENDS
