Request For Information

Police are appealing to the public for information relating to recent thefts from boats and damage caused to the boats during the thefts. The theft and damage is believed to have occurred on two boats between Tuesday 30th August and Thursday 1st September in the Peel Marina and dry boat yard. A small anchor has been stolen from one boat, during which the boat was also damaged. Considerable unnecessary damage has been caused to another boat in the marina. Constable Stephen Giddins from the Western Neighbourhood Policing team would like to remind boat owners to be vigilant in the security of their boats and property and to contact police of any suspicious activity. If anybody has information please contact PC 277 GIDDINS at Peel Police Station on 842208 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Between 8.15pm and 9.30pm on the evening of Friday 2nd September 2011, a Yamaha motorcycle has been pushed off its side-stand whilst parked outside Anagh Coar Stores in Douglas, causing significant damage to one side of the bike and a large repair bill to the owner. If anyone has any information regarding who may have been responsible for this incident, they are asked to please contact PC Robin Arnold at Lord St Police Station on 631212 or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously if preferred. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Between 6pm on Friday 2nd September 2011 and 8am on Saturday 3rd September 20111 a window at Regency Travel in Regent Street, Douglas was smashed causing extensive damage which required for the window to be replaced. Constable Andrew LLOYD, who is investigating this matter, is appealing for any information from anyone who may have either witnessed this damage being caused or who knows who was responsible for having caused this to contact him At Lord Street Police Station on 631212 or alternatively via the Crimestoppers number of 0800 555 111, where information can be provided anonymously if preferred. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About 1.45pm on Thursday 1st September 2011, a black 4x4 type motor vehicle has collided with a stationary black Peugeot 407 saloon car which was parked on Ballakermeen Road, near to its junction with St Catherines Drive in Douglas. The driver of the 4x4 vehicle is described as being in their late 20s to early 30s with black hair, and the passenger, who got out of the vehicle at the time, appeared to be in their early teens and wearing a pink tracksuit. The driver of the 4x4 vehicle then left the area without providing their required details following the collision. Constable Andrew LLOYD, who is investigating this incident, is appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the collision or who may know who was responsible to contact him at Lord Street Police Station on 631212 or alternatively via the Crimestoppers number of 0800 555 111, where information can be provided anonymously if preferred.
