by isleofman.com 7th October 2012

Emergency services are expected to release further details about an accident at St John's on Saturday night.

Fire crews were called to the incident on Archallagan Road involving one vehicle, at around 9pm.

They used cutting gear to open the car, but it's not known if anyone was hurt.

Earlier in the day two fire crews were called to a blaze at a house in Governor's Hill in Douglas.

The alarm was raised at around 4.30pm Saturday.

Firefighters used breathing aparatus and a thermal image camera to check for anyone trapped inside the property.

Neither the scale of the damage nor the cause is yet known.
