by isleofman.com 2nd September 2011

POLICE have recovered a stolen car as a result of media publicity. The rare Renault 5GT was found within 24 hours of the news being released on news websites.

The vehicle was stolen from a car park on Central Promenade, Douglas and had been towed away, as it was unable to be started.

Police appealed through the media, including isleofman.com, for information from the public.

Pc Jenette Martin said today, “Further to the media release the police would like to thank the public for their response and as a result the vehicle has been located.”

No other details have been released about where the car was discovered, or whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the theft.
