Family outings filled with medieval mayhem and mischief are promised at Castle Rushen today (Saturday) and tomorrow.
Medieval re-enactment society Conquest will be invading the castle grounds, after joining forces with Manx National Heritage.
The troupe, assisted by local friends, will be living in a tented encampment, transporting the castle and its visitors back to the 13th century.
Among the attractions will be knights engaged in live steel combat and cooks preparing the evening feast in the field kitchen.
Visitors to the castle can also talk to living history experts.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm.
