Gas work to close road for three weeks

by isleofman.com 5th January 2011

One of the routes into and out of Peel will be closed for almost three weeks from next week, so Manx Gas can carry out work on the natural gas extension project.

From January 12 until the end of the month, the Poortown Road will be shut from Ballalough Farm to Ballaquane Road for the laying of a new gas pipeline.

Manx Gas says the closure will enable the new high pressure natural gas supply point to be connected to the existing gas infrastructure in the town.

Access to Ballalough Farm will be maintained and advance warning signage will be displayed at appropriate locations.
