A number of issues raised by Douglas councillors at last night's meeting on the Bowl refurbishment scheme will be clarified today.
The meeting, attended by over half the 18 members of the local authority, was designed to try and get the ?3.4 million joint scheme, from which the council has withdrawn, back on track.
Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle was unable to tell Manx Radio much about what was discussed at the private gathering, which included a detailed presentation on the project.
However, he is suggesting the impact of the recent changes to the Island's VAT revenue sharing agreement with the United Kingdom won't be as bad as some councillors fear.
Mr Quayle says savings, of ?90 million, will still have to be achieved during the next financial year.
But the cuts across all the departments of government won't be as severe as the 15 per cent, which was originally quoted:
