Commentary for horse trams mooted

by isleofman.com 17th August 2009

It's being suggested the horsetrams on Douglas Promenade should have a running commentary for people to listen to.

The idea comes from Douglas Council to highlight points of interest such as the Tower of Refuge and the War Memorial.

Members of the Council say it may relieve the boredom of the passengers.

Speaking on Talking Heads today (Monday), Stephen Pitts chairman of the leisure services committee, said the commentary would have to be varied.
