No 'life of luxury' at Jurby prison

The Minister for home affairs is rejecting any suggestion prisoners are living a life of luxury at the Island's new ?41.7 million prison at Jurby.

It's a year and a day since inmates were moved from the old jail in Victoria Road, Douglas to the new purpose built facility in the north.

Mr Earnshaw says rehabilitation is always an important aim, but 'benefits' are only offered to encourage and reward good behaviour:
