MGP marshal recruitment drive

by isleofman.com 15th August 2009

There's a big push today to recruit more volunteer marshals for the forthcoming Manx Grand Prix.

The Isle of Man TT Marshals' Association will be at the Sure store in Strand Street, Douglas between 10am and 4.30pm, in a bid to boost numbers.

The recruitment drive, which is being supported by Sure, has the target of reaching the minimum quota of 508 marshals needed for each practice and race.

Vice chairman of the Isle of Man TT Marshals' Association Terry Holmes says some people have signed up but, at this stage, there aren't enough (play audio file):

A similar exercise will be conducted in Parliament Street, Ramsey tomorrow (Sunday).
