Sparrow hawk returns to the wild

An uninvited guest who caused quite a stir in the Island's Tesco store is back where he belongs.

A magnificent sparrow hawk which entered the building on Wednesday night flew out of a side door, without any encouragement, this afternoon.

The MCPCA was involved in attempts to persuade the bird to leave, and Graham Bell asked store manager Andrew Leece about some of the methods used (play extended audio file):
