by isleofman.com 15th July 2009

A section of road between Ballaugh and Ramsey will close this afternoon to enable police to investigate a serious accident.

The A3 between the Ballacriy Road junction and Sulby Glen Crossroads will close at 2pm and open no later than 3.30pm.

The crash, between two cars, happened at Quarry Bends on Monday night.

Following an appeal to the public for witnesses, the driver of a four-by-four seen in the area around the time of the accident has spoken to the police.

Two men, the drivers of the vehicles, were taken to Noble's Hospital after the accident.

A 17-year-old from Ramsey was today said to be 'poorly', while the other motorist, a 58-year-old from Peel, was 'comfortable'.
