KSF - 'we're trying to recover assets'

Treasury Minister Allan Bell says the government is doing everything it can to recover the assets of Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander.

An estimated 10,000 savers lost a total of ?860 million when the bank’s assets were frozen by the UK government under anti-terror laws.

Negotiations with the UK government are underway to try to get the money back for frustrated depositors.

Mr Bell says a government task force is meeting daily to resolve the issue (audio file attached):
