Homeless charity meeting

A public meeting held next week will try to decide on a name for a new charity set up to tackle the Island’s homelessness problem.

The meeting, chaired by Tynwald president Noel Cringle MLC, will elect officials and drum up support from the general public for the organisation.

It’s estimated up to five hundred people may have housing and homelessness problems at any one time the Isle of Man.

Organiser David Gawne (pictured) says this meeting will follow up on the success of one held earlier this year: (audio clip)

The meeting takes place in the Broadway Baptist Church in Douglas starting at 7.30pm on Wednesday, July 25.
