by isleofman.com 12th July 2007
Ayre MHK Eddie Teare is to step down as Chairman of the Manx Electricity Authority by the end of the year.

The announcement was made in Tynwald by Chief Minister, Tony Brown.

It came during the approval of the appointment to the MEA board of West Douglas MHK Geoff Corkish.

Asked by East Douglas MHK Brenda Canell if it was the intention that Mr Corkish would become the next chairman, Mr Brown said he could be either chairman or vice-chairman.

The other political member of the MEA is Eddie Lowey, MLC.
