New Chinese Association formed

by isleofman.com 11th September 2013

A new Chinese Association has been formed in the Isle of Man - some 60 years after the first Chinese person settled here.

The group's already attracted more than 120 members and will celebrate its launch with a dinner and show at the Palace hotel in Douglas this weekend.

The association says it aims to promote greater understanding of Chinese culture in the local community through education and links with local business.

And there'll be a new drive to open doors for trade links between the Isle of Man and China.

Committee member Teresa Crane says they're determined to help Chinese people integrate more fully into Manx life:Clip 1
