Ramsey Men's Dart League

by isleofman.com 11th November 2013

Week 5 of the Cuplas Callow Ramsey mens darts league and as you would expect we saw more fireworks than just those at the Mooragh park I am sorry if some of you were in a rush to get to your venue I thought it would be fine,  I will rethink if it happens again.

First match and unfortunately the RAOB couldn't field a team this week which works in the favour of the Plough B boys as they register a 9-0 win but I'm sure they much prefer playing so come on boys sort it out.

The boys at the Swan minus Paul Arthur (ill) with a debut from Paul Palmer which was a good one for himself as he won both his games which included a fine 15 dart leg but it wasn't enough as the Commie boys won only their second game which is a huge shock when you see their team sheet week in week out, Mick ' the machine ' Walsh and Chris McConnell winning both their games and a good 5-4 win.

The Commie Raven showed they aren't ready to let the Plough A run away with the league as they pulled of a win against the nearly men Bar Logo who have to win the unluckiest team already losing out 5-4 yet again , the Logo were actually 3-1 and 4-2 up but the last three boys couldn't muster the one win they needed Alan Young so far the signing of the year and Conal Hughes winning both their games indeed Alan hawling 5x100 & 3x140 all this and no win as the Commie boys with Phil Teare back to some sort of form and Jay Radcliffe showing no let up in his quest for no 1 winning both games and backed up by Alan Kinrade with a hawl of 3x100 105 120 2x140 they look like a good bet for the 5 aside comp coming up.

The Mitre boys are good at home but were put to the sword this week by the mighty Plough A,  losing out 8-1 yes 8-1. The only bright point for the Mitre a win by Derek Radcliffe. Even in the game they lost the Plough won a leg. Top performers for the best team so far this year,  Ollie Webster with 5x100 & 140 and another debut lad to our league Gazza Uren with a great nights darts,  he hit 2x100 134 2x140 & 180 on his way to a 14 and 20 dart legs well done. Great to see Malla,  Wooka and Robbie back in the team this week,  what a squad they have.

Strangely after last weeks 6 ton plus finishes we had none this week.
