Isle of Man race walkers produced superb showings in South Africa on Sunday.

They took the top three places in the Cape Times 80km Big Walk.

And they also took the honours in the women’s race with Sue Biggart the first home from a field of more than 30,000 in sixth place overall.

Parish Walk winner Michael George completed a fabulous personal 2013 with overall victory in eight hours 13 minutes from Richard Gerrard in second and former event winner Robbie Callister who was third.
