Douglas Royal launched their defence of the Warehouse Fitness Floodlit Cup with a 9-1 win over an under strength Gymns on Sunday.
The cup holders went on the rampage and had settled the tie long before half-time.
Leading 6-0 at the break, Rebecca Cole (three), Donna Shimmin (two), Siobhann Lockwood, Kym Hicklin, Stephanie Hoogveld and Angela Waite scored for the Whites.
Gymns’ consolation came from an Eleanor Gawne penalty.
