Remarkable win in Macau for Hutchy

by isleofman.com 16th November 2013
In what is a remarkable come-back, Ian Hutchinson has won the Macau Grand Prix.
The so-called "Bingley Bullet" won by 7 seconds from 8 time winner Michael Rutter.
It's an amazing achievement for the racer who sustained serious compound fractures to his left leg in a crash at Silverstone in 2010, only months after making history at the T.T. with five wins.
His long recovery was hampered after he got a bone infection in his leg and over the last 18 months he has undergone 29 operations.
Gary Johnson was third and John McGuinness fourth in today's race.
It was red flagged due to an incident after 12 of the scheduled 15 laps but organisers declared the result would stand.
