It's St George's v Rushen

by isleofman.com 30th November 2013

St George’s will face Rushen in Boxing Day’s BCS Railway Cup Final.
That’s after two exciting semi-finals on Saturday.
The cup holders St George’s had to show their character and class at the Bowl, coming from behind to defeat St Mary’s 2-1.
Sam Kenny’s side led inside the opening two minutes through Andy Glover, a lead they maintained until just after the hour when Sam Caine levelled matters.
The Geordies completed a period of dominance 15 minutes later when Chris Bass hit home what proved to be the winner.
St Mary’s, who lost captain Dominic McGreevy to a second yellow card late on, went close to an equaliser but St George’s deservedly booked their place in the final where they’ll play Rushen.
The southerners won a seven goal thriller at Glen Road, defeating Laxey 4-3 after extra-time.
Rushen took control in the opening half and, after Aaron Hawley’s opener, Josh Kelly doubled their lead just before half-time.
However, Laxey fought back with Ashley Webster reducing the arrears at the start of the second half before Paul Rowley equalised.
Ryan Williamson was sent off for a second bookable offence and Rushen took advantage with Mike Williams restoring the lead.
Nigel Beattie levelled for the Miners once again as the see-saw cup tie went into extra-time.
And it was Jack Saxon who proved the match winner for Rushen with the extra-time decider.
But for a Paul Gerrard penalty save, Saxon would have had a second as Rushen secured their place in the Boxing Day showpiece.
