Ayre deal Colby a blow

Ayre United inflicted a major blow on Colby’s promotion hopes on Saturday.

Goals from Johnny Callow and Christian Penswick sealed a 2-0 win at the southerners whose promotion rivals took full advantage.

Marown overcame a half-time deficit to win 3-1 at home to Douglas Athletic.

Gary Christian, Stuart Morris and an own goal did the damage.

A Connor Dempsey hat-trick helped Gymns extend their lead at the top of JCK Division Two in a 6-0 win over Braddan.

Douglas Royal maintained their promotion push but were given a scare by lowly Ronaldsway before winning 3-2.

Dean Stockdale and Dylan Shimmin were on target for the Rockets.

Dean Kinley and Louie Jennings settled a close contest at Billy Goat Park as Malew won 2-1 at Foxdale, while David Skillen scored the only goal as Pulrose won 1-0 at close rivals Douglas and District.
