Cuplas Callow Ramsey Men's Darts Report & Results

by isleofman.com 12th December 2013

A great night's darts with over 125 ton + scores being hit, Bar Logo did it yet again losing 5-4 this week to The Stanley.   When is their luck going to change?  The only man to win both his games this week was Dave Lee. The star man, for The Stanley, and the night, was Barry Sharpe who was on fire hitting 10 ton + scores including 2x180. Ross Walker also showed some form bagging 4 tons.

The Plough derby never disappoints with another great match and Plough A back to winning ways 6-3.  The amazing fact here was the two star "A teamers" Geoff Howland and Andy Hudgeon both lost their unbeaten records so well done Jamie Kelly and Dan Callow respectively. Star man here was Gary Uren with 7 ton scores and a 17dl to boot.

The RAOB so very nearly created what would have been the biggest shock for years by losing out 5-4 to The Commie.  They were infact 2-1 and 3-2 ahead but The Commie boys took the win with some solid throwing in the singles.  Sean Walsh top scored here with 4 tons but lost both his games.  Make sense of that!  Mike "the machine" Walsh and Brian Thompson won both their games.  Mick also hitting a fine 100 finish.

The Mitre played host to The Swan, fresh from their win against league leaders Plough A and looking at going second in the league they needed a good win against a very good Mitre team.  Indeed the Mitre took a 3-2 lead and things didn't look good for the Swan but then their big guns came on,  Wayne Harrison with 7 tons including 2x180, 130 finish and a 16dl. Paul Palmer next with 5 tons and a 20dl, Stevie Waters with 4 tons and Paul Arthur with 5 tons and a 19dl securing a 6-3 win and second spot.
