Creechurch gives Cook a fighting chance

Creechurch Capital – the boutique discretionary fund manager – has announced a sponsorship deal pledging its support to Taekwondo star, Aaron Cook.

The announcement comes in a week in which Cook is set to face his ultimate rival, Muhammad Lutalo at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Manchester this weekend.

The World Grand Prix will bring together 250 top international competitors seeking qualification points for the Rio Olympics in 2016.

This latest announcement marks the end of a successful year for the Creechurch Sports Academy, through which, the firm sponsored a selection of handpicked, promising young sports stars.

John Greenwood, CEO at Creechurch Capital said: “The Creechurch Sports Academy has been a resounding success and all of the members have achieved throughout the year.

“It is due to the heartwarming feedback that we have decided to mark the end of a successful year of the Sports Academy with an opportunity for one of our most valued and loyal clients to personally nominate a worthy sportsperson of their choice.

“Our Manx-based client chose Aaron because of his allegiance to the Island and the fact this would make a huge difference to his life and enable him to realise his ultimate dream.”

Aaron said: “I am delighted to be working with Creechurch Capital. To achieve my goals in Taekwondo, I need personal sponsors. Creechurch Capital are also leaders in their field and I really look forward to working with them."
