Saints move into second spot

by isleofman.com 21st December 2013
St Mary’s will go into Christmas in second place in the Canada Life Premier League.

That’s after a 2-0 win over Laxey at the Bowl ensured they leapfrogged their opponents.

A goal in each half from Darren Cain and Marc Priestnal was enough to seal maximum points for the Saints at the Bowl.

On an afternoon of high winds and torrential rain, Peel secured victory in the only other match to be completed.

A double from Marc Kelly and one each from Daniel Bell (penalty) and Dan Corkill sealed a 4-1 home success over battling Ramsey, who had held their opponents to 1-1 at the break, thanks to Matt Montgomery’s goal.
