A pan left on a cooker led to an emergency services call-out in Peel this morning (Thursday).
Fire crews and police were called to a house in Beech Street after reports of smoke pouring from a downstairs window.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus established there was no fire and no-one in the property.
Using thermal image equipment, the smoke was traced to a smouldering pan in the kitchen.
High power fans were used to the clear the smoke and the road was closed during the operation.
