Young sports stars at King William’s College and The Buchan School are to receive world-class performance training from the World Elite Sports Performance Academy (WESPA). WESPA is the fastest-growing sports academy in Great Britain, and is led by ex-Premiership rugby player Alastair Saverimutto.
Alastair and his team are staging two ‘testing days’ on 20th and 21st November at King William’s College and The Buchan School, with the aim of identifying talented young sports stars and then working with them to train and develop their skills.
Alastair Saverimutto, CEO WESPA, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to launch our new operation in the Isle of Man to bring what is Great Britain's fastest-growing sports academy to King William’s College. We know that the Island has a rich sporting heritage and that there is a large and untapped pool of potential here. Over the course of the two testing days we will be assessing more than 500 Buchan and College pupils, and I’m confident that this initial assessment will uncover some potential sporting gems.
