isle of Man Attractions - Sporting Venues

The Island has plenty of sporting venues and activities for visitors to enjoy and no matter which sport you are good at, you're bound to find something here that you'll enjoy.

The Isle of Man is blessed with 9 good quality golf courses within 10-50 minute drive from each other. From the finest pure links style to beautiful park land and heath land courses. The Isle of Man has all styles to suit all tastes and challenges. Golf has been formally played on the Island since 1891 when the first course was laid out and opened at Ramsey. This was followed within months by the first course in Douglas, the capital town. There are now 8 affiliated Clubs within the local golf union and each of them are located in areas of stunning views and scenery.

Our new National Sports Centre accommodates a range of sports, from cycling to swimming to name but a few. It's not just serious sports which are catered for, you can have a fun day out in the Wet-Zone.

Away from the restrictions, hazards and other users of public roads, kart racing with Duke Track Days presents the island's only opportunity for petrol-charged performance in a professional motorsport environment.
