Mooinjer Veggey

 

Mooinjer Veggey have been successful in promoting the Manx Gaelic language and working specifically to establish a network of Manx Gaelic pre-school groups throughout the Island.

Yn Greinneyder- The Manx Language Development Officer

 

He is employed by the Manx Heritage Foundation, and his role is to advise and assist organisations in their use of Manx.

The officer can advise on where you can learn the language, and he can be contacted on 01624 838527 or at greinneyder@mhf.org.im

 

 

Yn Cheshaght Ghailckagh- The Manx Gaelic Society

 

The society was founded in 1899, and is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Manx Gaelic.

Undinys Eiraght Vannin - The Manx Heritage Foundation

 

The Manx Heritage Foundation's broad aim is to identify a unique area of Manx culture, and to find practical ways of making it relevant to today's society.

Caarjyn ny Gaelgey- Friends of the Manx Language

 

This group does a great deal of work in teaching and promoting the language.

Coonceil ny Gaelgey

 

This department's duties include providing authoritative Manx versions of street names, the titles of government departments and so forth, and the creation of new words and phrases in Manx Gaelic.
