Little Miss Dynamite

It was a absolute pleasure to catch up with the Island's own pocket-rocket, Little Miss Dynamite.

Even the most un-coordinated amongst us can't resist getting up on our feet whilst this lady struts-her-stuff.  This "Dynamiteeee" wanted to know...

How did you get started as a performer?

I won a comp at The Douglas Head then was asked to do The Falcon Cliff.  I then did all the Island's cabaret scenes.  The only place I haven't done is the Gaiety Theatre.

Who is your biggest musical influence?

My influences were The Beatles and Elvis.  My dream was to do a duet with McCartney!  Artists I love now are Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Adele and Ga Ga ha ha.

Have you ever released your own music?

Lmd3I am in the middle of recording my third album, I will let you know more about that later!  Cynthia Lennon bought my first CD and she became one of my best friends.

Where is your favourite place to perform?

My fave place on the island is Peel, love it!

I believe your children are also musically talented, tell us more.

They are the most important thing in my life; Christina, my daughter, Lee, my son who was lead guitarist with Jacoba and my beautiful grandaughter Elissa.  All of my close family, which includes my fans but I like to call them my family as someone said my "dynamiteeees".  I would not be doing this only for the support they have given me I can't thank them enough, words don't cover it.

Lmd 1.2What's next for Little Miss Dynamite?

I will be gigging this year at the Villa.

What do you do to relax?

I love reading to relax best.  Michael Caine's "What's it all about?" and Oliver Reed's autobiography.  I just couldn't put these books down.

I also love watching dramas like Luther and Vera and my fave soap is Emmerdale.
