Description

An important plantation, Ballaugh has two large amenity ponds inhabited by ducks and geese

Ballaugh is an important plantation of 140 hectares which was planted between the years 1959 and 1967.  It is home to Sitka Spruce and Japanese Larch although there are a few unstocked areas. Internal roading was provided between 1990 and 1995.

It has two large amenity ponds which were created in the lower part of the forest and which are greatly appreciated by a large number of ducks and geese.
