Police in Castletown are investigating the theft of a mountain bike in Clagh Vane Ballasalla. The bike was stolen from the rear garden of a house on the Clagh Vane estate. The theft occurred between the evening of Friday 17th September and the morning of Saturday19th September. The mountain bike is described as a purple coloured “Muddy Fox” adult sized bike with 20 gears. The bike had a security chain attached to it when it was stolen. Pc Higson would like to remind people to secure their belongings as thieves are always on the lookout for easy opportunities to steal property. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police at Castletown Police Station. --------------------------------------------------------- Police are appealing for witnesses to a violent incident which occurred outside the entrance to Glen Falcon Gardens, Glen Falcon Road, Douglas, at approximately 4.20pm on Wednesday 29th September 2010. The incident, which is believed to have involved two males, resulted in an 18 year old local man receiving a facial injury. Police believe that a male passerby witnessed the incident and approached the injured male after the incident and would appeal for him or anybody else who has information to contact Police Headquarters on 631212 or alternatively the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
