Assault in Colours Bar 26/09/10

Around 3:00 am on Sunday 26th September 2010 a fight occurred between two men on the dance floor at Colours Night Club. This incident left one of the two men with quite serious, but non life threatening head injuries. The injured party was taken to Nobles Hospital A&E department and was subsequently detained on a ward, for further treatment. A second man, who is thought to be the other party involved in this incident was detained by security staff at the venue. The security staff summonsed Police and ambulance and administered first aid to the injured party. The second male was arrested by Police and has been detained at Police Headquarters, pending interview. Sgt Andy Kneen would say “ although there was an early arrest in this case, and we have already spoken to some witnesses we are keen to speak with anyone who was in the club, and who saw any stage of the incident. The club was full of customers at the time of these events. Enquiries are continuing today, conducted by staff from Douglas NPT, together with officers from CID” If anybody has information please contact PC 193 Richard CRETNEY at Lord Street Police Station on 631212.
